When you are travelling you don’t want to waste time being angry or stressed, so use these tips to have the best possible trip!

1: Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff

Try not to spend your whole holiday worrying about things. If you miss your bus, there will be another along soon. If you end up getting lost, it is just another opportunity for adventure!

2: Be An Early Bird

Famous attractions get busy pretty quickly. Give yourself the best chance of beating the queues and crowds by arriving early. Bonus points if you get to see the sunrise in your destination.

3: Laugh At Yourself

Being able to laugh at yourself is a great skill. You will end up doing some silly things in foreign places. But instead of worrying, laugh it off. It will make a great story to tell when you get back home.

4: Carry Sneaky Cash

It is a good idea to keep some hidden cash in case of emergency. That way if you lose your wallet, your credit card stops working, or the ATMs run out of cash, you will be prepared. Some sneaky spots are your sock, in your shoe, in your toiletry bag, or in a hidden pocket.

5: Go Local

Immerse yourself in the local culture. Meet the people, visit hidden treasures, try to food and experience the culture. There is no point going to an exotic destination and doing the same things you do at home!

6: Pack A Cotton Scarf

A cotton scarf is an incredibly versatile piece of material. Not only does it look good with your outfit, but you ca use it for sun protection, eye protection, wind protection, a makeshift towel, or carrying things around in.

7: Use The Cloud

Back all your important documents and files up, then make sure you can access them from cloud storage. That includes a copy of your passport, visa and driver’s licence, your travel documents, your insurance paperwork, important phone numbers and holiday snaps.

8: Take Lots Of Photos

Photos can be a constant reminder of the fun times you had, the people you met, and the places you visited. You might only see these places once in your lifetime, so you want to remember it! In saying that, don’t spend your whole holiday behind your camera, get out and experience things in person too.

9: Indulge Yourself

Budget travel is great as you can see lots of places on a small amount of money. But there are certain places that you want to give yourself permission to splurge in. Do it, you won’t regret it!

10: Don’t Be Scared

The media paints the world to be an incredibly scary place. But it really isn’t. Of course you need to be aware of sketchy looking situations, and avoid them! On the whole though, if you are sensible, you shouldn’t run into any troubles on your travels.
